Min Yasui Day is March 28

The Oregon Legislature designated March 28 of each year as Minoru Yasui Day. Join ACLU of Oregon members and other community partners to honor and celebrate civil rights champion Minoru Yasui. “Min” was most well-known for his courageous stand against military orders that resulted in the forced removal and imprisonment of over 110,000 persons of Japanese ancestry during World War II, but his entire life was committed to the defense of human and civil rights, and justice for all.

Presented by Oregon Nikkei Endowment and the Minoru Yasui Legacy Project, sponsored by the University of Oregon School of Law, and co-sponsored by ACLU of Oregon, OAPABA (Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association).
