Arizona State University Law School Presentation of “And Then They Came for Us”

Don Tamaki participated in a program on April 9, 2019, at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. The diverse audience included lawyers, students, community members and leaders, and judges.

The program featured a panel discussion with: filmmaker Abby Ginzberg; Donald K. Tamaki, Partner at Minami Tamaki LLP and Member of Korematsu coram nobis team; Ilan Wurman, Visiting Assistant Professor, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law; Marian Tadano Shee, Former Incarceree, Crystal City, Texas; George C. Chen; Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (Moderator).

Following the panel discussion, there was a screening of ABA 2018 Silver Gavel Award winning documentary, “And Then They Came For Us.” This film details the history of Japanese American internment during World War II and discusses its role in the modern times in the context of the travel bans.
